- Once your horse is named and registered, and basic information is filled out in your stable thread, you will need to go the the Jockey Club to buy some basic stats
- If you aren't happy with your base stats, you can purchase a re-roll for one stat of your choosing from the Store.
Surface
- There are two racing surfaces avaliable; Dirt and Turf
- Most horses will prefer one surface over the other, though some may race just as well on both.
- Running your horse on the wrong surface can result in injury and will decrease their race score, which may cost them the race
Distance
- Races are any distance between 4 and 12 furlongs
- Most horses are either sprinters or distance horses, however some will be completely versatile
- Sprinters like races between 4 and 8 furlongs
- Distance horses like races between 8 and 12 furlongs
- Running your horse at a distance too long or short for them can mean injury
Entry Fees
- An entry fee must be paid for every race your horse enters, whether they earn you anything back or not
- The entry fee for Maidens is $100
- The entry fee for GIII is $200
