[bg=black][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] Lee & Daemon, Ricky & He's A Pirate
It had been Lees idea, this suicidal workout. Ricky found himself grumbling as he lead Will out of the barn and into the yard, fully groomed and tacked. Behind him several grooms struggled to lead the very devil that had sired this striking colt, out into the yard. What is she thinking? Ricky huffed, watching as a few grooms were dragged across the yard by the black stallion. Just as he was about to move to stop the mayhem, when Mike exited the barn What the hell!? He shouted, stepping in front of Die and throwing his arms up. Die squealed and skidded to a stop, snorting at the man with his ears pinned back. Mike grabbed the shank and popped it once, before glaring at the grooms. Get out of here He hissed, as he circled Die around to make sure he didn’t injure himself.
He’s fine. You know the grooms shouldn’t be handling him. Ricky called from where he stood with Will. Mike turned towards him and laughed, rolling his eyes. True, so why is this devil tacked up? Mike asked with a pat on Dies neck. Lee wants to bring him and Will out to work on Wills stamina. Rickey replied with a shrug, as he swung up onto the big black colts back. Ahh that explains it. Mike agreed, glancing towards the ranch house as Lee approached them.
Boys she commented, nodding towards both of her long time friends. Both of the older men smiled and nodded towards her Lee they both said at the same time, while Mike held Die still for Lee to mount him. He passed her the reins and she turned towards Ricky. Ready? He nodded and nudged Will for a trot, heading towards the forest. Be safe. Mike said to Lee as he stepped back and she nudged Die into a canter to catch up with his son.
It didn’t take long for them to reach the forest, the one that was mostly a very steep hill. This should be fun. Lee commented, and Ricky laughed. Oh yes, loads of fun. Ricky replied with a smirk and urged Will for a gallop as they approached the first hill. Lee followed suit and urged Die forth, both horses dug their hooves in and plowed on going up the hill. Die made it look easy as running on flat ground, Will however struggled a few times, which Ricky simply urged him on if he went to stop. Once they reached the top, the turned around and Lee grinned. Now for the fun part. Ricky rolled his eyes as she nudged Die forth, the large black stallion bolted down the hill.
Ricky and Will followed at a canter, for Ricky had no desire to risk the youngster tripping and breaking a leg. Die however had been on this trip multiple times over the years, and knew how to safely move down the hill with no problems. Once both reached the bottom the horses were covered in sweat and breathing harshly… though neither seemed injured. A slow easy trot was picked up as the duo headed home.
