John Stokes & Sarah Mutain
John smiled as he made the short walk to King's Park with his right-hand, Sarah. Since he had bought Flat Creek recently, he had been changing a few things around, and in the midst of it all, they had only bred three of their mares. Sarah had heard from who knows where that King's Park had bred all of their mares and had an overflow of horses. A short day later, and John had heard the information himself.
Since Rocket and several of the horses at Flat Creek had retired, things had quited down some. This morning, for example, the only commotion had been with Franny, when she had thrown a fit at not getting the attention that she had thought she deserved. That had soon been quieted down when Austin went over to pet her. Austin was currently at the barn, keeping an eye one everything, most likely sitting near Laugh, who was his favorite horse, and Rocket Away, her Challenger filly. Jenna was a handful for sure, but Austin seemed to get along with her.
John pulled himself away from his thoughts as they reached the King's Park barn. He'd been to King's Park several times for various things, but, like always, he looked at the airy barn and rolling pastures and paddocks with respect in his eyes. True, Flat Creek had several of the same features, but John loved visiting other stables. He looked over at Sarah, who had proven to have an excellent eye for horseflesh, then led they way into the barn. He looked around for Darren or Talley, eager to see the youngsters for sale. Especially one, a son of Challenger and the GI sprinter, Autumn Fun.
