Personality: Jay's a little gung-ho about his riding, and has days when he lets his own knowledge get to his head and refuses to listen to instructions, doing it his own way instead, but he is learning that that isn't the best thing to do. To anyone who hasn't earned his respect, he appears stand-offish, arrogant and unlikable - Selena in particular, has not taken a liking to him, and he looks down on her as being his junior. To those who he respects though, he is easy to work with and an asset to the stables so long as he doesn't get any great ideas to save time or shirk work.
