It has been 10 years after Naraku was defeated and Kagome made her final decision to remain in the Sengoku period with Inuyasha. In the Final Act, Inuyasha and Kagome were married and lived in Keade's Village with Sango & Miroku, who now had twin daughters and a younger son. Sesshoumaru was still on his nomad ways and left Rin with Keade so that she could train to become a Miko. Sango's younger brother, Kohaku is now traveling the lands and fighting demons with Kirara as his companion. Shippo, too, lives in Keade's Village, but strays away into the wilderness quite often to train his fox magic by tricking unfortunate beings. To the North, Kouga has succumb to Ayame's constant pursuit of him and joined up with her. Together, the two rule over the Northern Mountain range.
However... lately there have been more rumors of war as the human lords fight with themselves over land in their control. Each one either trying to defend their villages from invaders, or take control of another village. Big villages and cities are the usual targets. Smaller ones tend to be left alone, for the most part anyway. Those people who do not wish to be apart of the fighting flee to neighboring lands and villages for safety. However, even the Yokai in the warring areas are also fighting with those humans; trying to take their control away which often ends in bloodshed on either side.
The fighting is spreading and not just among the humans either. The dragon clan has attempted to take possession of the western lands with the rightful heir; Sesshomaru - not taking his father's territory; and no one knows for sure if he's abandoned it. However, despite this, they have seen the Inu Yokai clan has a threat; harboring hatred for a feud that has started ever since Ryukotsusei battled the Inu Tashio hundreds of years ago...
The peace that has began since Naraku's death is about to be shattered...
A new war is brewing....
